Leasia L. Brooks is the CEO/owner of Our Promised Peace Counseling Services LLC, where the mission is to equip individuals and couples with the strategies to create a peaceful & powerful environment; experience spiritual growth and have healthier relationships through combining biblical principles and evidence-based strategies. She is dedicated to guiding both individuals and couples through life's challenges using a holistic approach. Leasia founded the practice on the principles of Christian values and professional counseling expertise. Her warm, empathetic approach positively impacts the lives of those she serves as she strongly believes in the transformative power of faith and compassion in the journey towards emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness.
Leasia earned a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bowie State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies at the University of Maryland University College. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Community Care and Counseling, Pastoral Care at Liberty University. Leasia is also the author of “Let’s Chat It's Not That Hard! A 21-day Devotional” and “Who Wants to Talk to God” both aiding clients in prayer and meditation practices.
As a professional, she is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and serves as a Prepare-Enrich Marriage Mentor guiding couples in learning and implementing healthy skills to thrive both individually and collectively as they learn to grow in true love. Leasia also specializes in Anger Management, offering support to individuals and couples by teaching essential skills such as assertive communication, conflict resolution, and calming techniques to effectively manage stress and anxiety.
Leasia welcomes individuals and couples seeking support in their journey toward emotional healing and a deeper spiritual connection with God.
Leasia currently resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland with her husband Jose´ and their children.
